Imagine:
- The “Light Trim” plan — one cut a month, stay sharp with minimal commitment.
- The “Fresh Fade” plan — every three weeks, for that just-right balance. Personally, this would be my go-to.
- The “VIP Weekly” plan — never miss a beat, with a cut every week.
And let's face it, everyone who isn't bald needs a haircut. I'm balding, and I still go for regular cuts. Also, the only brand loyalty stronger than someone's coffee order is their choice of barber. This could be one of the sharpest subscription models out there.
I had a great barber who, sadly, had to close shop after Covid because he couldn't win business back quickly enough. A subscription model could have given him visibility into his cash flow, and upfront payments would have helped immensely. I tried convincing him to promote it on Instagram and TikTok, but couldn't get through. Now I don't want the same thing to happen to my new barber, so I'm trying to help.
Have you seen other barbers successfully run subscriptions?
